Elections matter. your voice matters.

Boyd will echo your voice.

What is Boyd’s top priority for Lubbock City Council? Adopting a budget for the City of Lubbock that prioritizes public safety, addresses critical needs and serves the citizens of Lubbock without a property tax rate increase.

Why Boyd Goodloe Running for Lubbock City Council?

Boyd Goodloe has attended various City Council Meetings over the past few years, especially as it relates to adopting a budget for the City of Lubbock and has met one-on-one with his elected City Council Member as well as written to each of the City Council Members on several occasions to encourage the adoption of City budgets without raising the property tax rate on families, property owners and citizens of Lubbock. Boyd has attended many “Coffee With The Mayor” gatherings to hear Lubbock citizens speak about their priorities for Lubbock.

Listening to candidates for District 4, Boyd Goodloe realizes that nobody is taking a stand against raising the property tax rates. For the past two years, Mayor McBrayer has proposed budgets without raising the property tax rate and pleaded with City Council Members to adopt a budget without raising the tax rate. Both years, Members of City Council have ignored the Mayor’s pleas and introduced their own budget proposals and raised taxes on individuals, families and businesses in Lubbock. Boyd believes that tax increases EVERY YEAR MUST STOP! As the District 4 Council Member, Boyd will vote for a budget that does NOT include a property tax increase.

But don’t just read a webpage—contact Boyd and ask questions and share your thoughts for District 4 and the Lubbock City Council as Citizens of Lubbock.
